Genesee and Lookout Mountain

Genesee and Lookout Mountain lie on the south and north sides of I-70, respectively, as it leaves Denver and ascends to Colorado's high country. Neither area is incorporated, they are about 5 miles northeast of Evergreen and they offer a shorter commute to Denver. Residents tend to shop in nearby Golden or Denver's western suburbs. Like Coinifer, there is no town center in either area and their common zip code (80401) is officially Golden's. Like Evergreen and Conifer, Genesee and Lookout Mountain children attend Jefferson County's excellent R-1 schools. Homes sold for an average of $538,777 in 2007.
