Choosing a good old-fashioned live Christmas tree is the most sustainable way to celebrate our favorite holiday tradition.  Real trees absorb carbon dioxide and emit fresh oxygen as they grow, and tree farms stabilize soil, protect water supplies, provide refuge for wildlife and employ thousands of workers.

After Christmas, EAS+Y (Evergreen Alliance for Sustainability) arranges for a FREE Christmas tree recycling. They are excited to have a new location (across the street from your office Tupper!). We will be at both the Lutheran church AND the vacant lot on Bergen Parkway on January 8th and January 15th from 8:30am-3:30pm both days to recycle holiday trees and block styrofoam. EAS+Y partners with Lam Tree who haul the trees from the lot and mulch them to give back to the community. Please call EAS+Y (720) 277-2884 or email [email protected] with any questions. There is no better way to dispose of used Christmas trees, re-purpose them into useful mulch and protect our fragile environment in the process! Happy Holidays!
