Next stop—a balanced market.  Inventory is up from this time last year, it’s taking a little longer to sell, and there are more price reductions.  Home prices are still climbing, albeit more slowly.  Where sellers had the negotiating edge over the last few years, signs of that changing are starting to show.  But while the market may be cresting, it’s turning slowly.   Well-priced homes in good condition continue to sell quickly, but over-priced homes that need attention are no longer finding buyers willing to bid at or above asking price.
