Evergreen Park & Recreation District offers a variety of activities and programs on Evergreen Lake. Below is a full listing of programming, which includes Boating, Paddleboarding, Ice Skating, Hockey, Skate Rink Rentals, and Broomball. Seasonal Lake Rules and Lake House Rental information can also be found. 


BOATING & PADDLE BOARDING

The lake is open for summer fun!

Evergreen Park & Recreation District operates Public Boating, Paddle Boarding, Summer Camps, SUP Yoga Classes and yoga sessions during the Summer season.

Parking is very limited at the Lake House, a free shuttle is available on the following dates between 10am and 5pm. Shuttle runs from the Lake House to Stagecoach park lower parking lot.

Public Boating and Paddle Boarding on Evergreen Lake
Visit Evergreen Lake for Boating and Paddle Boarding! EPRD allows personal watercraft boating and offers boating rentals on a first-come, first-serve basis. Large Groups intending to visit Evergreen Lake and parking at Evergreen Lake Park, such as area summer camps, school outings, and clubs are required to submit an EPRD Park Permit Application before visiting.

In coordination with EMD (Evergreen Metro District) and CCD (City and County of Denver), access to Evergreen Lake may be closed to private boating and rental boats at its discretion.  All boating is prohibited during certain events including the EPRD Summer Concert Series, Evergreen Rodeo Parade and Evergreen Town Race.

Lifejackets/PFDs are included with watercraft rental fees. For users with their own personal watercraft, you must bring your own PFD or rent one for $10.

PERSONAL WATERCRAFT INFO

Boaters with their own Personal Watercraft are required to check in at the boat washing station at the time of their arrival.

Personal Watercraft Usage will be Open 7 Days a Week, starting May 25.

  • All Personal Watercrafts require purchase of a day pass or seasonal pass prior to launching. 
  • Daily pass fee:
    • $10/day Mon-Thu
    • $15/day Fri-Sun
  • 2024 Boating Season Pass 
  • 2024 boating season dates are not guaranteed and there are no refunds for any reason
  • This pass expires on Oct 1, 2024
  • Purchase of seasonal boating pass does not guarantee access to the water: 
    • Must pass ANS boat inspection.
    • Must have a life jacket on and buckled at all times.
    • Arrive and depart within operational boating hours.

Rules to keep in mind when launching your boat include:

  • All boats must stay within boundaries set by lake staff and abide by all lake rules.
  • Trailered boats are not allowed to launch in the lake due to heightened concerns with ANS contaminations affecting the water supply.
  • Gas-powered engines are not allowed; only electric trolling motors.
  • Other personal watercraft not allowed are sailboats, pool inflatables (tubes, loungers, rafts, etc.), complex boats (pedal boats, closed hull, etc.).
  • Launch vessels from our washing station check-in area only (near Evergreen Lake Parking lot).
  • Life jackets are required to be on and buckled at all times. Please bring your own life jacket. If you are in need of a life jacket we can rent you one for $10.
  • All personal watercrafts must launch and check in at the washing station area to have an ANS (Aquatic Nuisance Species) inspection, pay and receive a stamp.
  • No refunds.

NON-PROFIT GROUP RESERVATIONS

Welcome! If you plan to visit Evergreen Lake for boating and are part of a non-profit group or organization, we ask that you please fill out the Non-Profit Group Rental Request Form so that we may better manage your boating experience at Evergreen Lake.

LARGE GROUP RESERVATIONS

Large Groups intending to visit Evergreen Lake and parking at Evergreen Lake Park, such as area summer camps, school outings, and clubs are required to submit an EPRD Park Permit Application before visiting.

SUNRISE YOGA AT THE LAKE HOUSE

Sunrise Yoga at the Lake - Stretch, Balance & Flow

Start your morning off with a Lakefront yoga class that will encompass stability, mobility, flexibility and balance while exploring the mind body breath connection. With the beautiful outdoors as our setting we will reconnect in nature with this dynamic and uplifting class.

Wednesdays from 7 - 8 AM. Use a punch card or pre-register online.

SUNRISE SUP YOGA

Come try paddleboard yoga on Evergreen Lake with our certified instructors! This is for both beginners and experienced yoga participants. All equipment is included.

Lake House Camp (8 to 12 Years)

Evergreen Park & Recreation District will provide an introduction to a range of activities on Evergreen Lake and it's surrounding park and trails. The Lake House Camp will offer a variety of fun pursuits such as kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, raft building and hiking to name a few. Call the Lake House at 720-880-1300 for more information.

  • Space is limited to 12 students per week
  • Full day camp 9 AM - 4 PM, (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)

Help keep the lake and park beautiful. Please don’t litter and pick up after your pets. Pets must be kept on leash. Due to wildfire concerns, no charcoal or gas grills are allowed in the park. Parking is limited at Evergreen Lake.
